CAMDEN Services for James Harrison Smothers, 89, retired farmer, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Green and the Rev. J.D. Abbott officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Mr. Smothers died Tuesday morning at Benton County General Hospital after along illness. He was a member of the Bible Truth Baptist Church. He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Ila Allen, Mrs. Viva Arnold, Mrs. Elah Jones and Mrs. Louise Forest, all of Camden; two sons, Millard Smothers of Camden and Hershel Smothers of Kuttawa, Ky.; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Higdon of Camden; 20 grandchildren, 30 greatgrandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.³
