Mrs. W. W. Norwood

DEPORT - Mrs. W.W. Norwood, longtime resident of
Cunningham, died Tuesday in California. where she had lived
the past year or two in the homes of her daughters, Mrs.
Corinne Morsman of Paramount, and Mrs. Juanita Montgomery,
South Gate. The funeral will be held at Deport Baptist
Church, Saturday at 2 p.m., and interment made in Highland
Cemetery by Grant Funeral Home. The Rev. Curtis Hoover of
Marshall and the Rev. Mr. Griffin, pastor here, will
officiate. The former Miss Florence Edna Allen, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Allen, Mrs. Norwood was born in
Red River County, February 7, 1880. Her husband's death
occurred several years ago, Besides her daughters in
California, survivors are these sons: Roscoe Norwood,
Clarksville; Jack Norwood and Almer Norwood, Cunningham; 36
other descendants; a brother, Albert Allen, Helena, Ark.,
and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Gage, Paris.2
