Estes Argen "Peanut" Morris, 87, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday,
December 18, 2005 at his home. He was born December 3, 1918
in Iuka, MS, the son of William A. and Virda Blakney
Morris. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the US Army.
Mr. Morris owned and operated Morris Texaco in Jackson
Square for many years. At the time of his death, he was
working part-time with Food City. His family described him
as a "people" person, always enjoying the company of
others. He also enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and
sisters and by his son, Jackie A. Morris, September 1,
1985. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Thelma
Earline Marlar Morris; Daughter, Patsy Charlene Morris and
many nieces and nephews. No services are planned and burial
in Oak Ridge Memorial Park is private. Weatherford Mortuary
